feeding the demon

I'm really enjoying my FeedDemon, and besides adding my favorite blog feeds to it, I've also made use of a couple of subscription services.
Brenna turned me on to PubSub, a great way to get updated information on whatever subject you can dream up. Needless to say, I have a "Movable Type" subscription, as well as "Six Apart", "TypePad", and "TypeKey", so I can keep up with what everyone's talking about there. I also have a "Howard Stern" subscription, because he's all over the place these days with Clear Channel and the FCC behaving like Big Brothers to George W.
Another service I've been enjoying is Topix. You can read the latest news in an amazing amount of categories, and subscribe to XML feeds on the ones that interest you the most. There, I also have a "Howard Stern" subscription, as well as "Local News - Plano, TX" and "Blog News".
Needless to say, I'm becoming quite addicted to using a news reader to keep up with what's going on in the world - even if my world is a narrowly defined one.

I'd never heard of PubSub or Topix, thanks for the heads up :)
Yes that FeedDemon is the greatest. At first I thought it would save me alot of surf time, but the opposite is true. Even more and more information is drowning me. But since I get to choose and filter it myself, in general I get to read more relevant and enlightening stuff.
I set up some pubsub subscriptions today - what a cool thing! They just really need to add some sort of online interface to see all of my subscribtions instead of doing it via email - it would make things a bit neater IMO.
damn feeddemon isn't atom enabled that's the only problem
Another problem i've noticed, because feeddemon downloads the items to your hard drive, updates to entries aren't shown, is there a way to fix this ?
Arvind, this isn't a FeedDemon support site. ;-)
;) sorry !
