naughty girlie

During a beta testing moment, Les told me that apparently, he can't read my blog from work because his company's "firewall seems to think it's a site devoted to Erotica and Sex".
This made me laugh, because it made me recall that when I signed up for Orkut, their system refused to let me sign up with "girlie" as my username due to some claptrap about "inappropriate or obscene content".
So I outsmarted it by substituting some letters with numbers, and promptly set up my first name as "Girlie" - which went through with no problem. And the irony of that is no one ever sees my actual username on Orkut - but they do see that "obscene" first name.
Can anyone explain that logic to me?
(Of course, we won't mention that once upon a time, there were sections of my site that were perhaps a little too revealing about my sex life; and I have written a little piece of erotica (or two or three) - so maybe that company's firewall hasn't misjudged me after all. Heh.)

Cute! I just want to know though...why are we not mentioning about once upon a time? *laughs* Hey...nothing wrong with having a healthy s_e_x life. I say...more erotica! Maybe people wouldn't be so grumpy!
Edited: I'm guilty! *Grin*
Too funny!! Because I used the 's' word, I got hit with content submission error.
Hehe. Yeah, unfortunately, I had to add some words to my Blacklist that I otherwise wouldn't object to having in comments.
Can't wait until I actually have the time to upgrade to 3.0 myself!!!
Am glad to hear that it wasn't just because it was me saying that...nasty 's' word. *laughs*
WOW! Did you change something in the stylesheet, or is this font this small because I'm on Mozilla. It's even smaller than the font you use in your links. Maybe it's just while typing and will grow bigger once posted.
What, no time to upgrade? Shame! Oh wait, that's right, you're helping everyone else! *laughs* See what happens when you love your job...no time!
:-)
Hmm. No changes to the stylesheet. The fonts are all proportionate though, so you should be able to increase the text size in your browser if it's too small. (I use Medium in IE6, and it's small, but readable - I like it that way. Heh.)
Yeah, no rest for the wicked means no time for upgrading either. :-P
You have my sympathy - i like s__, I like ero____, but I am more interested in deeply spiritual matters as reflected on my site. (Note - I say "spiritual" not "religious." ) In any event, I choose "Give You Joy" as a domain name because "joy" has deep spiritual significance. Of course I get blocked all the time by people/machines that assume it is a p__no site - and I had to change the email address for my notifications because if I use my domain name too many email filters block it. Ouch! (Wow - it's hard getting past these filters!)
