The combined honors of my 40th birthday and a promotion at work seemed to warrant spending some money on myself, so I placed an order today at the Apple Store.
Yes, at 99 cents a song it would theoretically cost me about a grand to fill with music, but I have a hard time imagining how many years it will take for me to accumulate a thousand songs that I like.

And I was amazed how many songs I had when I started ripping albums on my CD shelf - that made a nice dent into my space. ;) And then the thing I like about itunes is only having to buy the tracks of albums I really like. :)

Awesome! I don't know what I'd do without my iPod. And now that my wife has an iPod mini, I think she's the same way. Be sure to check out iTunes and its Smart Playlist capabilities--it's amazing how smart it can be about what music to play for you!
