tips and tricks for movable type
lastn recently modified entries using MTSQL
January 19, 2003
I requested an additional attribute to MTEntries - recently_modified=N - to list a limited number of entries based on when they were last updated.
Brenna posted a solution in this support forum thread, which uses Brad Choate's MTSQL plugin.
My slightly modified version:
</MTSQLEntries>
Change 8 to your blog's ID number, and change 5 to the number of entries you want to list.

You can specify [MTBlogID] within the query to automatically use the proper blog id. In fact, you can use any MT tag within the query when it's written with angle brackets like that.
Hmmm, so if you're displaying in blog 1 entries from blog 8, you could also use [MTOtherBlog blog_id="8"] in there?
Wait, that would be overkill, huh? =)
Thanks for that tip, Brad, Enhances the script even further, because you can then just copy and paste into all your blogs with no changes.
Thanks, I really needed that info.
use [MTOtherBlog blog_id="8"]
